ABOUT MILAN JAKER
Milan Rafael Jaker (born on 11 February 2004 in Schleswig-Holstein) is an artist and writer living in Germany. His work includes illustrations, street art and murals. He began working intensively as an artist at the age of eleven; many of his works explore the connection between nature and the human spirit. He received early training at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel, where the first facets of his current style began to take shape.
At the age of sixteen, Jaker combined his passion for art and literature by writing and illustrating a fantasy novel. Since then, he has developed a visual language that combines surreal and natural structures and deals intensively with emotions, inner tensions and intuitive perceptions. A special aspect of his work is the use of patterns inspired by visual impressions he sees with his eyes closed – abstract forms that he deliberately makes visible in his art. These intuitive forms run like a thread through his illustrations, street art and murals, giving his work an unmistakable signature.
